Mets and Yankees go the go ahead to resume tomorrow. If every team plays tomorrow, it will be the first time since the first Sunday of the season
Mets and Yankees will play DH's Friday and Sunday in Yankee stadium. The other game will be made up on September 3rd at Shea. The Mets and Marlins will make up their game tomorrow as part of a DH at Shea. So the Mets will have DH's Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

And the Mets goofball GM stirs up a large shit storm getting caught on a hot mic ripping what he thought was Manfreds idea of what to do last night when it actually came from the owner who I guess suggested they come back to the field and start the game an hour later after the staged walk off because he still wanted them to play . Sounds like this might lead to him getting canned because Wilpon was not happy about the embarrassment of his GM who was ripping his good friend Manfred when it was actually him that it should have been directed at.

It may indeed expedite his firing but I think that writing has been on the wall for a while.

But then again in a normal one he probably isnt hired in the first place. For the circus that is Mets ownership he probably keeps his job. They seem to fuck up everything they do.

Rays and Yankees game should be interesting tonight. Last night Chapman threw a 101 mph fastball over and behind a righty batters head to the last hitter of the game and while benches did not empty then, they did after he struck out because apparently a Yankee coach was chirping.
Other batters have been hit in the series and Tanaka seemingly hit a batter on purpose earlier in the game.
Afterwards Rays manager had some harsh words towards the Yankees and kind of dropped a threat saying he has plenty of guys who can throw 98 plus if they want to play games.
They said on MLB network that no doubt Chapmans pitch was on purpose, he strutted towards the plate and did not seem to even act like it got away. They also said he has thrown over 1000 pitches to righty batters and none have been up like that so he knew where it was going. Probably expect a suspension . Dont know how they cant after giving Joe Kelly one.

MLB is becoming a bad joke, and they're doing it to themselves

Although Chapman has thrown up high I dont think he has ever been suspended for it before , but I could be wrong.

Steve Cohen agrees to buy the Mets. He will own 95% at a valuation of 2.475B not including SYN.
If the Mets are worth that, the Cubs have to be over 3 now, especially with Marquee

He will become the owner with the most net worth in MLB.
