Now a complete 180 from Cards sources. All of today tests game back negative for the virus. Cards may be allowed to practice Monday and play Tuesday. I do not know what to believe. Source?

My biggest concern with this series cancellation is the amount of double headers needed later. That screws the cubs as well, 7 innings or not. Not fair to them when the cards are the ones that screwed up.

Cards series vs the Pirates has now also been postponed... what the cluster fuck is going on there. Why no taxi squad/minor players?

Cards series vs the Pirates has now also been postponed... what the cluster fuck is going on there. Why no taxi squad/minor players? You cannot simply remove players who have tested positive and replace them because that is not how incubation periods and the tests work. Baseball is going to have to figure out a fair way to "make up" these games in the win loss column because the Cardinals have played 5 games and should have already played 16-17 and now they are having another series postponed. How in the hell do they expect to make up 15 games with 49 days left (after the Pittsburg series) in the season? As of right now, and this is just as of right now as the Cubs and Pirates series have not been rescheduled, they will have to play 28 games in 24 days with zero days off... the big money is that jumps to 30-31 games due to the need to add DH to the Cubs and Pirates series...

7 inning games should benefit the Cubs. Less of the awful bullpen.

Jordan Bastian Retweeted Anne Rogers@anne__rogers Lane Thomas is the one confirmed positive test today, Mozeliak said. The rest of the #STLCards tested negative over the weekend. The total number affected in the organization in 17.
******************************************************* It's my understanding the Cards brought up players from the taxi squad/alternative site and they practiced together with the rest of the team on Thursday. So this whole group was exposed.
If the Cards start on Thursday they will have to play 55 games in 46 days.

This is getting to a critical point where either the Cardinals need to be removed or we need an official ruling on winning percentage if the Cardinals can't complete their schedule.

They tried with the taxi squad and fucked up SMH

They tried with the taxi squad and fucked up SMH I think the taxi squad being used to cover Covid is going to be thrown out pretty soon. It's pretty much just going to be injury insurance. With the delayed onset of symptoms and testing that's behind to begin with all a taxi squad will do is lead to a false sense of security and expose more people.

This situation has reached critical. Just for the Cardinals.. Most all other teams seem to be able to follow simple directions. I expect the player from the Athletics that charged the dugout and also the person on the Astros that incited the action to be severely disciplined.

This situation has reached critical. The Cardinals will have been off so long that they might need a "mini camp" of 2-3 days to get back in shape to avoid injuries.

I expect the player from the Athletics that charged the dugout and also the person on the Astros that incited the action to be severely disciplined. How 'bout that too? It's just baseball being baseball. But magnified because of the times. Ever wonder how brawls would go if everybody who left the bench was suspended automatically? We'd see who the tough guys were, then. Back to Astro's hitting coach, Alex Cintron. This fucking guy. Supposed to be a leader and mentor. Baiting a player into a confrontation and then hiding behind players. After his pitcher obviously threw at a batter (the 2 players were traded for each other). Now there's a tough guy.
