Cubs Wild Card Chase

Got to improve the margins this offseason, this is critical, you have to get the projected wins over 90+. to avoid the long ugly losing stretches the Cubs seem to fall into the last couple of seasons. 

I am seeing on Twitter from Cubs bloggers and fans making a case to claim Taylor Rogers off waivers from the Giants, he is a high leverage lefty bullpen arm that can help this season and next  as well The Cubs are over the luxury tax already this season and will not be able to get under it, so mind as well make the best use of it.
Rogers is owed $11 million next season which is high, but he would be a big addition to the bullpen in 2025, as Rogers has always been rock solid and super dependable late inning arm.

By saying "the loss today"  means you had it chalked up already  , and the not over until it's over no doubt was regarding the playoff chances and not the game because you followed it up with "They can win yet another series and lose ground if the Braves and Giants win"

So don't try to play it off like you meant this game, that's ok , I made the comment as a light hearted joke , no need to try to say you were not wrong about the outcome of this game, it wasn't needed and makes you look bad now.

So you gotta ask yourself...

It's ok to admit things and say you thought it was over and there would be a L  , we all did.  

When somebody literally says the loss today and they can win another series and lose ground if the Braves and Giants win , you don't need to be Inspector Gadget to figure anything out.

You could have simply just said , yeah I thought it was over .........we all did when it was 10-3 , no harm in that , teams usually don't come back from that with 3 innings left to play on the road , and even against "shit " teams.
