Rizzo is having a good year. But there's nothing wrong with pointing out that he's hitting .214 (.307 OBP) on the road. Or pointing out that he's hit .167 / .234 / .222 in the last 3 Months. Or that he's hitting .167 since the All-Star break. It's ok to present the bad, as well as the good. That's not what was presented.... I read lucky HRs on the short porch that are outs at Wrigley LOL

I read lucky HRs on the short porch that are outs at Wrigley LOL A lot of that talk came after this game. And this isn't even talking about his 302' Homer at Fenway. www.si.com/mlb/yankees/news/new-york-yankees-anthony-rizzo-history-shortest-three-home-run-game-since-2006#:~:text=Rizzo's%20blasts%20were%20a%20combined,feet%20(8th%20inning). The power surge was the first three-homer game of Rizzo’s career. It was also the shortest total distance for a three-home run game since 2006.The average distance of the homers, 350 feet, was also the shortest average distance for a three-plus homer game tracked by Statcast (since 2015)Rizzo’s first home run would have gone out in just one other ballparkThe last one would have cleared the fence in three other parks...
And those Parks ain't Wrigley. theathletic.com/3274961/2022/04/27/yankees-anthony-rizzo/'Rizzo seems destined to become a short porch icon"

I don't want to laugh because I honestly really do like Bryant and hope he does well , but it has to be looking to Rockies fans who were already getting on him over the back issue and the games missed that this guy is going to be their second coming of Tulowitzki and by that I mean huge contract and a great player when healthy , just never seems to be able to stay on the field and misses a shit ton of games.

Kris Bryant back to the IL I pretty much called it with the above post. Yep. 3rd trip to the DL this year & 1/3 of the year to go. So he’ll spend over a month on the DL at a minimum so there’s what 5 million in his first year? The Rockies just have a habit of signing horrible deals..

On a positive note, he still has plenty of time to make that 7 year 182 million contract look good. But you never want to see a guy start one out only playing 42 of your first 104 games.

Yes but when you make a million dollars for every 6 games you play it won't take long before the fan base turns on you & he won't like that at all..

Some of them already were with the lingering back injury.

Addison Russell raked in the mexican league last year for the acereros de monclova. Something like .319/.410/.900 as the teams top bat. He's struggling this year (not really), with a .347/.442/.1121 slash line 🔥

Do the Cubs have so many SS options that it is not worth the bad publicity?

He "could" be brought in to any MLB team this month & be on their regular & post season roster if a team chose to do so & if he's hitting like that it wouldn't be impossible..

At 28 going on 29, it's certainly possible for him to come back to the bigs for some team. Would make sense as a cheap gamble for someone possibly in the future.

That was the question, or one of them.

Another thing i saw yesterday when looking at addys #s was that erick aybar was on the team. In fact, several familiar names. I might go thru the whole league roster and see who's names pop up. I know puig and some other guys, but i bet there's a lot of former major leaguers.
