At 28 going on 29, it's certainly possible for him to come back to the bigs for some team. Would make sense as a cheap gamble for someone possibly in the future. My point was, NOT the Cubs. That was the question, or one of them. I replied to your post instead of just posting fresh. Bad habit.

Rizzo has not played since August 3rd , his anual back problems.
Bryant still wearing a walking boot ,no time table for his return.

They were saying on MLBNetwork last night that when Boone & the bench coach were thrown out for arguing a strike that was 9" off the plate (well maybe 7" but it was fricken ridiculous) Rizzo was helping coach the team. I really can see him coaching one day & I had never thought about that before.

But when you think about it , no matter who the manager was he is always there in his ear talking during games so he seems like a guy fully into the game and not just a player in the dugout waiting for his at bat.

He’s sure got the demeanor for it, remember him charging into the Reds dugout after Chapman? One of my top 10 all time favorite Cubs moments.. What a bad ass.

You are correct, some Reds player came out & held him out of the dugout. If he would have made it all the way in there I think the outcome would have been different..

Dylan Cease is having a Cy Young type season for the White Sox. He's 10-4 with a 2.03 ERA. To update, Cease is now 12-4 with a 1.98 ERA. He's had 13 straight starts allowing 1 earned run or less.

What a waste of talent. He has all the tools to be a star but the lump 3 feet above his ass is what holds him back.
