Multiple sources are reporting that the season will be canceled on Monday. I hope that's wrong.

Wait, Manford can cancel the rest of the shortened baseball season because players and staff are getting sick in the middle of a pandemic, but he couldn't penalize players that he knows cheated to win baseball games? Worse commishiner ever, baseball is doomed with this boob at the helm You realize that the players were not going to talk if they werent promised immunity right?

Tonight's Cards-Brewers game postponed again, not surprisingly.

If NBA and NHL, which are sports playing indoors with more physical contact, can make it work and MLB can’t, one would think there’s something wrong with the decision making process of MLB.

And to think they were fighting over the length of the season.

And to think they were fighting over the length of the season. There are always going to be people who don't believe that CovidSars2 is really THAT bad or THAT communicable, or who believe they're invincible or that the rules don't apply to them, or people who just don't give a damn except to satisfy their own desires. It's especially said when you consider how unfair this is to all the other people involved, staff, players, owners, MLB executives, networks, and last (and definitely not least), the fans. As communicable as this is, accidental exposure is always a possibility, but if bars and casinos are involved in these scenarios, HEADS SHOULD ROLL!!

Lorenzo Cain opts out of rest of season. I am 100% convinced the Cubs will play 2 more games and the season will be over.

I hope you are wrong.
I am sure the knew there would be some positive tests going in.
Cant let what is happening to one team ruin everything.
Update on STL out of the 4 positives only 1 player.
When they started summer camp back up there were more positives than we are seeing now other than counting the Marlins. Phillies tests friday all came back negative, no new cases with them.

In such case, and given that we are likely going to lead the NLC in winning %, can we at least be awarded the NLC champions? Lol I will enjoy and cherish every game as much as I can.

A little off topic here, but if MLB is having this much trouble, I don't see any way that the NFL will be able to play this season.

I dont see it as " this much trouble "
30 teams , we have 1 of 30 with a major issue.
STL I guess we need to wait and see on but the reported "multiple " cases is 1 player , 4 on the coaching staff.
The Cubs have not even had one case since summer camp opened

I get the panic, but then again I dont.
It has pretty much been one team affecting many others series.
It goes back to Phillies/ Marlins.
Now if both teams were having the outbreak like the Marlins are then ok , freak out .But the Phillies once again yesterday all tested negative.
