While we're acknowledging our excitement for the season and how good our chances are, where's that dude that insisted that we're going to be in fourth place this year? LOL I think they will end up in fourth place. I really hope I am wrong but I feel that's where the Cubs will end the year.

Cubs were +94 compared to brewers and +107 on the reds. I just don’t see the cubs finishing 4th. I’m curious why you think they will finish 4th.

Cubs pitching coach Tommy Hottovy said Sunday that Jon Lester is scheduled to start on Tuesday against the Rockies, with Kyle Hendricks following suit on Wednesday against the Royals. Both starters are scheduled to work just one inning in their first game action of the preseason.
Yu Darvish is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session on Monday, putting him on target for a two-inning Cactus League debut when his turn comes up.
José Quintana had his live BP workout cancelled Sunday due to flu-like symptoms, pushing his schedule back some. He will need to complete a live BP workout before moving up to a game.

His last BP session was like 2 weeks ago, before the food poisoning, right? I'm beyond believing the excuses at this point. My prediction was that he would start off the season on the 60 day DL, and the Cubs would see if they can get him healthy for the 2nd half. Morrow seems to be so fragile now that if you snap him with a towel, he's DLed. Which is why they don't do towel drills any more.

I just see all the improvements the Reds have made and STL and MKE are still potent. If the Cubs make moves to get under the luxury tax, I see them regressing to a 3rd or 4th place finish. Now mind you I want to be completely wrong on this.

Reds have made a lot of improvements but lets not forget they had a way to go. Cubs season last year was disappointing , but the Reds still finished 9 games behind the Cubs.
Brewers lost a lot more talent then they gained and STL lost Ozuna and Martinez bats and pretty much only signed a Korean 5th starter type pitcher

Semi-Morrow update: I was googling, and Morrow has actually been shutdown to not throw at all this week and expected to start the season on the IL we all assumed.
Some actually think he is battling shoulder problems, and using chest strain to cover it up for the time being.

With Morrow it's best to expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised if he has an impact.
