oh she definitely knew what she was doing. that smirk look on her face says it all. If im looking at the correct photo, definitely cant see any bruises or marks on her face. Seems telling since it was supposed to have been taken the morning after the assualt. A smirk would be out of place, no? also, why would you still be in bed with someone who you claimed "assaulted" you? then take a video of yourself smirking and raising your eyebrows

he is damaged goods and even though he is clear of all wrong doing there is still the stigma behind it and he was not well liked prior to all of this in FO around the league. I do think he will eventually find something on the open market, will be a more of a 1 year type incentive laden deal with a small market team as the large market teams will likely stay away as they won't want to deal with the Media. I bet he returns to the Reds on a reasonable 1 year deal, it would be a good spot for both sides. Being the guy he is , he had a limited market well before this happened because teams know as good as he can be , he can also be trouble because he likes to be his own pitching coach. Good call on the Reds , don't want to see that happen though.

Before all this happened, he was a Cy Young Award winner, who then signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers for 3 years - $102M ( $34M a year). He was due the balance of $40M in '21 & $45M in '22. And then had an opt out decision in '23 ($17M) Baseball tried to take it all. An Independent Arbitrator ruled they couldn't do that. He was the victim of a crime. A hideous crime that costed him the game and Millions of dollars. After sitting out and tolerating all the bullshit he went through, he went to Yamamoto's League and slashed: (10-4) / 2.76 ERA / 130.2 IP - 130 K / 2.14 BB-9IP / 1.15 WHIP (Yamamoto: 16-6 / 1.21)

There were a lot that don't want to put up with his shit no matter how good he can be.

I'd sign him to a 1yr, $20m contact tomorrow... So he likes rough sex, deal with it. He needs an "in", the Cubs could give it to him and have little risk.
Not trying to win merit badges here, just rings.

They were already out when it came to the money. Being doubly-out, only counts as 1 out. There was obviously enough teams left who weren't out (World Series type teams) to allow him to make a record(ish) signing. And that's the only market that mattered. The rest can huff & puff, all they like. They're not fooling anybody... They were already out - Over the money.

I think between Ross, Gomes, Swanson, and Happ they can control the clubhouse. He'd probably be on his best behavior in order to set up another payday.

He is an uncontrollable POS who would be a clubhouse cancer.

Never get into a personal (or business) relationship with someone that you think you can change.
(Thanks Mom, you got that one dead on!).
