Morrow said the problem last year was that the day after a bullpen session he could not lift his arm up to comb his hair. It took him 3-4 days to recover. I am still very pessimistic about Morrow. He's now pitching every 3rd day and throwing off flat ground between outings ...where the pics at?

Jordan Bastian @mlbastian 47s Almora said he needed time to “disconnect” over offseason. Was in a bad mental place at season’s end and confided in trusted people close to him to work through it. Then, got to work on offensive approach and swing (says changes will be visible) and feels he’s in great spot now. no doubt that foul ball effected him.
he needs find away put that behind him. lot easier said than done obviously.

Rizzo says there's a big difference between the billions teams make and the millions players make. Aww puddin'. Guess nobody cares about what the fans pay to watch a game or buy their jersey. Maybe we should be worried that Rizzo is only a multimillionaire instead of a billionaire. Love the guy, but get real. Advocating that more teams should be going over the luxury tax. Where's the guy advocating for pre-arb players that produce and dont make dough? Or just shutting up and enjoying his actual millions in the bank?
"Money talks". Ok, Tony.

Thanks for posting this.... I think it was clear he was never the same because he stayed ion contact with the family and he knew as the season was going on that little girl's progress and unfortunately she's has permanent damage. That's heart breaking and I couldn't imagine how hard that was on everyone, the family, and Almora.

Actually, I really get tired of this BS player argument. While we don't know exactly what the profits on a MLB team actually are exactly, it isn't "BILLIONS". You might see a billion when a MLB team is sold. But how often do they actually get sold? 32 teams and we're lucky to see a single team sold every 4-5 years. In most cases, the owner DIES without selling his team. In short, they NEVER see this "BILLION" that Rizzo and other players try to compare their salaries to. So the real comparison is the profit that a team makes over the course of a single year. That's a figure in the 10s of Millions (not Billions). Some teams obviously make more profit than others... and some owners are trying to win while others seek to build their business around maximizing profit as much as possible (Pirates, Marlins). When it comes time to negotiate a new CBA, the players need to step back and look at the finances realistically. There needs to be a way to encourage penny pinching owners to spend more. (They receive revenue sharing, yet in many cases don't spend it on free agents). The luxury tax will never be eliminated, but the threshold should be increased. Other aspects of the game such as tax penalties and qualifying offers can be adjusted. There's really a lot to negotiate, but this Billions vs Millions talk just needs to end because that sort of thinking will just destroy this game of baseball.

You cannot say this without knowing the details yourself. Actually yes we do. We can understand basic economics and put together an open ended guestimate without knowing the exact figures. I just did it. Imagine that you own a rental property. You charge rent each month, and get a yearly profit after paying the mortgate. Do you think this yearly profit is anywhere near the value of the entire house if put on the market? Hell no. That is essentially what players are insisting (which is complete mularky)

You do know owners make a ton of money away from the field as well, hence billionaires.

Anyway, back to ST..... Almora said he completely revamped his entire swing. Says it looks completely different and confident he'll be better in 2020.

You do know owners make a ton of money away from the field as well, hence billionaires. It's an important item of note. If you own a piece of property worth a billion... you are called a billionaire. That's in reference to your total net worth. You don't necessarily have an income/profit every year of a billion. That's an important distinction that I am making, and if you don't see the difference, then there's really no point in talking further.

Rossy has spent a lot of time this offseason and now in camp getting the veterans to have a positive impact on the younger guys. You'll see a lot of vets walking around with younger guys. I LOVE THAT!

I LOVE THAT! didn't Maddon do that during his first spring training? he also told players to share their knowledge.

You are 100% correct but he's talking about wealth redistribution & that is a very political argument that we need to stay away from..

Jon Lester, on the dynamic of David Ross now being the one to decide when he comes out of a game: "I don't know if you guys know this but he took me out of games plenty of times.....this won't be anything new. "I've never disrespected my manager regardless of who that is." "Is that weird? Yes. But he's my boss. When he decides the game is over for me, the game is over."
that's gonna be interesting. especially when Lester is not ready come out.
