Is he on unpaid leave? Not to be harsh but I would think it is time he either comes back and plays or retires as this is kind of holding the Cubs hostage (assuming he is getting paid and taking up a roster spot).
I look at this similarly to the Tommy La Stella thing a few years ago, mentally hes need to deal with it and function in his day job. Not sure why he left spring training and now since at this point the lawyer should be handling most everything. If it is a situation where he is watching his kids....who watched them when she was singing/screwing and he was on the road?
I like Zobrist and am thankful for what he brought to this team but time to come back or hang them up.

Millions of people get divorced and still have to work. In fact I’ve never heard of someone taking an indefinite leave for a divorce. He’s already in a unique position where he can retire at age 37 in 4 months and can spend all the time in the world with his kids. If it’s important he does it now then good for him but he needs to officially retire or come back to work.

As it relates to Zobrist, the difference between the restricted list and the bereavement list is an important distinction here. With the restricted list, there is no timetable for a return and it opens up a 40-man roster spot temporarily. So he isn't taking up a roster spot. I don't really care whether he is getting paid or not.

It's also possible that the Cubs have insurance to pay Zobrist's contract if he can't play for an extended period of time.

She shouldn't be allowed to have those children unsupervised, none of that post sounds like it comes from a stable person.

The moral of the story is don’t get married! Nah. Just make sure you sign a prenup. A prenup only covers the financial aspect of a split & Ben is NOT missing time now due to anything involving money. He’s missing because he is most likely devastated with the situation his once happy family has been thrust into.

So you think he isn't having a battle for who gets what when one files for divorce in Tennessee and the other files in Illinois?

Oh I think he for sure is pissed & wanting her to get as little as possible but that doesn’t require him to be away from the team hardly at all. That just requires a team of good lawyers.

Maybe it's just me but I don't picture Zobrist curled up in the fetal position with a blanket, the blinds drawn, and a bucket of ice cream watching the hallmark channel.
I think its probably uglier behind closed doors than you believe.

Julianna’s career implies the acceptance of religious doctrine purely on faith. Wouldn’t that include the biblical commandment to not commit adultery? So how is it possible that she could have been unfaithful?
