Some good slow motion video here. Looks like in the immediate aftermath 2 women, one 2 rows in front and another 1 row behind, get up and leave. It looks like they may be trying to alert security, who knows if they came back. Woman in the black top might have something in her hand, but hard to tell. Given there were no serious injuries I'm almost wondering if it came from somewhere else in the park. Very few people in the area reacted, kids going up the aisle right next to the event and people 15 feet away minding their business as if nothing happened. Sounds like there's either not much to go on or they have an idea and aren't saying. If they're anything like Wrigley I'm sure there is significantly more footage they're going through.

It had to come from outside the park , there is really no way it happened like Fitz had mentioned and it was tucked in her fat rolls and discharged because you would see a LOT of people reacting to a gun shot around her seating area If it came from inside the park in another area , again people would react to a gunshot unless it had a silencer on it .

Initially there were reports it came from outside the park, and I read comments of gunfire detection systems picking up something within a mile of the park, but it appears they're going away from that now. The police have said they've almost completely dispelled that idea.
They'll get to the bottom of it eventually, just might not be as soon as fans might want to make them feel confident in attending again.

Yes, CPD's statement last night said it was inside the park. Also, I know a gun can be loud, but it can also at times be muzzled if "suffocated", especially a small caliber handgun, plus you with all the sounds going around you it's possible that 1. it wasn't that loud and people didn't think anything of it or 2. people heard it, but didn't react as a gun shot because there was no surrounding chaos of people running. Even people in the immediate area. who were not paying attention.
Watching the video I really think one of those people left with the gun.

Police are still looking for a volunteer to frisk her. One really has to wonder about the police investigation and ballclub comments. The police say they are rather confident the gun was fired from inside the stadium. They claim there was no altercation. Nearby fans were not aware of a shot or altercation. There is no report of a gun being recovered. The game was not delayed. Are the police or White Sox management trying to protect an individual or perhaps something about the security system? And still no mention of the names of the injured women or whether they were friends. The police say they've dispelled the notion of the gun being fired outside the stadium, yet provide no evidence. An initial investigative report is usually made public quickly, but not in this case. I generally avoid conspiracy conjectures, but things do not seem right here.

Reports coming out that it was a gun smuggled in by one of the women. Hidden in the folds of her belly. Yikes.

But that one woman that leaves , it sure looks like she was scrambling around reaching/looking for something for a while before she gets up and leaves so you might be right.

Getz expected to be GM. That organization is going to be rock bottom until JR is gone. He just doesn't learn and runs his teams into the ground. Jeffery Loria feels better that he is not the worst owner in MLB history anymore.

The 42 year old who got shot is a teacher. Through her attorney, she's denying that she brought the gun in. According to her attorney they "reviewed the photographic evidence and x-rays of the injury, and firearm and medical experts confirm the gun shot wound is not self inflicted".
They're lying through their teeth IMO lol
EDIT: It was a group of 30 teachers, they were all together. One of them ran out with that damn gun and they know it LOL
EDIT EDIT: She's a season ticket holder and....... she's a FOID card holder. She's trying not to lose her job and season tickets.

Lol , in all fairness I think the park was atleast half full since it was a friday night with a Vanilla ice concert after the game .

This is going to be covered up....
1. breach of security at a professional sporting event 2. potential backlash for how a gun got in 3. CPS teacher at the spotlight of investigation 4. will this call in to question why a CPS teacher is carry is gun to a sporting event 5. does this CPS teach bring her gun to school
These are reason why we'll never know. This will be a major politically driven story. Perfect example: Intern Superintendent was answering questions and the mayor grabbed him and pulled him from the microphone while he was about to answer a question. This is going to be a political cover up. What a mess, but typical Chicago.
