Chris Getz rumored to be next in line for GM. So another "Jerry guy" from within the organization rather than someone from the outside. Another guy from KC (name I forget) rumored to be involved as well, along with Grifol who was in KC previously. Anybody else here the rumor they'll pursue Sal Perez in the offseason??
Next verse same as the first verse.

See ya , I really don't care since I haven't lived in the Chicago area the last 23 years but I know it will crush some of my old WSox fan friends so it would be kind of a shame if they do move. If they do move it would be hilarious if the Smokies out draw them.

Lol, is this serious ? Really I hope this is a joke for the sake of Sox fans. Hey let's bring back the guy who derailed the whole thing and sent them into a free fall tailspin so he can advise us on how to even further fuck up the organization because his baseball mindset is still stuck in the early 2000's . Wow , the really need to check if Reinsdorf has a functioning brain .

No love loss for the Sux but JR has been an absentee owner for decades now, same goes for the Bulls as an owner.

He's not letting his teams front offices evolve with the times, it's like he's stuck in a time warp and doesn't trust any new minds that are in touch with the present state of the game. He doesn't want to evolve. He said it clearly this year in the comments with other owners, his goal is to remain just competitive enough to keep his fans happy. Absolutely lines up with his approach to both teams the past 20 years. The Bulls have been a cash cow despite what he's done. Just think of what the Bulls track record would be since Jordan had Derrick Rose not fallen into their lap. And the Sox with their sweetheart deal with the state that benefits them financially if they have low attendance, he's found ways to insulate himself and bring in money without working to put together the best team possible.

It appears the Larussa report is false per multiple sources.

Him saying they were going to have internal discussions to determine if dramatic changes are needed was about as hard to predict as the sun rising in the morning.

Nightengale nailed the firings and nailed LaRussa coming back. The LaRussa coming back was an impressive insight, because I don't think many people could predict that Riensdorf would be that stupid a second time . The firings , not hard to predict at all , something had to happen with the mess they have and the horrible press they'd been getting so Hahn was obvious , Williams a bit of a surprise because he's the owners guy , but way way long over due . Not sure how Grifol survived though.

He'll likely just hire another Sox buddy and the cycle will start again.

But everybody had to feel something was going to happen and some heads would roll with how bad the media was making everything look there had to be changes because the organization had to be totally embarrased. I figured Hahn and Grifol especially after Hahn came out and said he himself needs to evaluate his future and if he's still right for that job. Williams was the one that surprised me because he's lasted so long and seemed to have a job for life there.

Nightengale says assistant GM Getz will probably get the job , although some baseball guys are saying Mike Rizzo since his contract with the Nats expires , but I doubt that will happen and it will be like you said , another Sox buddy and repeat the same cycle . Rizzo I'm sure would want too much power for Jerry's liking and bringing back LaRussa clearly indicates he's not open to a drastic change and new direction.
