The Arizona Diamondbacks (@dbacks) optioned RHP Shelby Miller to Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. A corresponding move will be made prior to tomorrow night's game. Miller, 25, has made 14 starts with the D-backs and was 2-9 with a 7.14 ERA (55 ER in 69.1 IP). He was on the 15-day disabled list from May 27-June 20 with a sprained right index finger. www.azsnakepit.com/2016/7/14/12195580/shelby-miller-optioned-to-triple-a

Hart really bitch slapped Stewart on this deal.

His velocity is down almost 2 MPH on his fastball and movement on his secondary pitches are signficantly less. It is either mechanical or injury

It is either mechanical or injury Well when part of his issue earlier in the season was him scraping his hand on the mound on his follow through, thats tells me his mechanics have to be way off since he didn't have that problem before. I also think with Miller it's part mental, he's one of the rare ones that prefered to do things his way instead of buying into the way the Cardinals teach pitching.
