Cubs have had a busy day today 1. traded Alcantara to the A's for Chris Coghlan 2. signed a relieve pitcher Joel Peralta to a minor league contract 3. traded Shawon Dunston Jr for a player to be named later Jesse Rogers:"The Cubs traded Shawon Dunston Jr to the San Francisco Giants on Thursday evening reportedly for a player to be named later. Dunston, 23, joins his father who's a coach with the Giants. The younger Shawon never made it higher than high Class-A for the Cubs after being drafted in the 11th round in 2011. He was hitting .219 for Myrtle Beach this season."

He'll be able to maybe be a part of the Giants with hid dad and that's cool. He wasn't going to make it with the Cubs but I was like his pops. Growing up he was a fav of mine.

Pretty cool that Shawn Jr. Will get I hang out with his pops before he has to move on to other things as the major league is not in his future, Probaly why aFO made the move, to just let him enjoy time with is dad this summer
