Guys, I'm definitely a little influenced by alcohol right now. That said....take a look at what we've done. We are 39-15! What the actual frick? This is amazing. Hope it continues. Either way, have a beer tonight for what we've done so far, and enjoy the ride.

( Did it many years ago). Gotta love em both.

Reflecting on today's game, it was good to see Rondon get a save and Hammel shut the door after the first inning. Strop worried me but it was only the second HR of the season given up by him so ya gotta say okay get the inning over with already. I had to watch the archived game because I was gone today and the MLBTV quality reeked. But a win makes everything better.

how many times has pitching got out of a base loaded jam? I know Lester has gotten out of two of them, Wood I believe has gotten out of two of them. I'm thinking there couple other's, but I could be wrong. just amazing! I know past Cubs teams would not have gotten out of any of them. kudos to this pitching staff.

On pace for 117 wins.... didn't quite think we'd be seeing this. I know 117 wins is monstrous and probably won't happen but to be talking about 1/3 of the way through is sensational.

If we go .500 the rest of the way, we will win 93 games. That is ridiculous

here is a couple of stats I saw on the cubs twitter page. Cubs are the only MLB team with a winning record when the opponent scores first 15-12. Cubs are 31-1 when scoring 5 or more runs

Cardinals are on pace to finish 33 games behind the Cubs. I wonder how Mike Matheny and the "best fans in baseball" would live with that one.
