And i was kinda happy to be 3 over after years in the cellar. We hovered around 5 to 7 games over until we exploded after the allstar break. Glad to see to explosion has carried over into this year.

Yep and this years explosion is without Schwarber and Heyward has yet to hit. Only Fowler and Zobrist are off to hot starts. Rizzo, Bryant, Soler, Heyward, Russel , Baez can do more.

It will interesting to see how things go when they all start hitting. I can't see this team winning less than 100 games.

I'm not sure I expect Hendricks / Lackey / and especially Hammel to keep up their sub 3.00 ERA's, but if they keep getting quality starts, they'll easily win 100. Bats will heat up with the aforementioned players that aren't producing the way they can. Still need to see some 7th-8th inning relief upgrades IMO. I like Strop but don't trust him.

Strop's fine but if he's off he's really off. Maddon needs to learn to recognize it right away and get someone else out there asap. Yesterday was a good example and Joe did a good job of not letting him give the game away. But when Strop is on he's nearly unhittable. I'd like to see one more setup man to split some of those miles with Strop.
