No damage to my house a couple of hours away from the ballpark. No loss of electricity. glad you’re okay down there we didn’t get et it too bad here but no damage or loss of electricity either. Just a bunch of mid size & small branches in yard. The important thing is the house and all the people inside are fine. Hope Rev came through okay too

According to the Tampa Bay Rays media guide, the stadium's roof is made of six acres of translucent, Teflon-coated fiberglass and was built to withstand winds of up to 115 mph. Its slanted design was also intended to protect the stadium from hurricanes.

Imagine what a nightmare it would have been if the 10,000 or whatevernumberitwas people staged there for hurricane response hadn't been evacuated to Ocala by DeSantis. Best governor ever, anywhere.
Of course it was his intent to provide as much immediate response as possible but he changed his mind when it became obvious that the tarp wouldn't hold up.

As I predicted ********** Multiple Sources are reporting: Hurricane Milton damage to the roof at Tropicana Field is a bigger deal than most understand. It would cost 9 figures to replace and moving into new park in a few years doesn't make sense. #Rays can't play there with no draining system for rain. Where will they play in 2025?
Now there is two teams that are homeless until at least 2028

Where will they play in 2025? there is suggestions that playing in Port Charlotte Florida (only holds around 7500 fans) or Durham (Bulls) North Carolina already can hold 10-11K per game. They got a tough decision to make, it took the Metro dome 5 months to repair after the major snowstorm and the Tropicana roof is more complicated and who knows what other damage the hurricane done besides the roof. If they decide to repair it is highly likely they still have to find another place to play to the first month or so next season.

TB's Spring Training facility in Port Charlotte holds 7,000 people... it's 75mi south of Tampa. NYY Spring Training facility in Tampa holds 11,000 people, but Yanks single A Tampa Tarpons play there.

Any chance MLB might have to bite the bullet and contract to 28 teams? A’s and Rays situation is a mess.
