Thrilled to see Seiya getting some love. We all hope he can carry that second half momentum he built into the new season. Hopefully a fellow countryman and native speaker in Imanaga around will only help.
I don’t have the list handy but Hoerner got snubbed out of the top ten for second baseman. I am not nearly as high on Hoerner as many Cubs fans are but even that was a surprise to me.

Err, I think I am mistaken and might have seen some random person’s top tens at each position. Please disregard.

No problem , didn't sound right that he would not crack the top 10 , I'd imagine he has to be in the top 10 but maybe not top 5 , 2b is pretty loaded too I'm sure Albies, Semien, Marte, are ahead of him , maybe Torres, Arraez too

Maybe not he only had 119 games at 2nd.

For the money being paid he’s a top 2 based on production vs cost..

Mookie is a RFer who occasionally plays 2B. Feel like they did that so they didn’t have to choose between Mookie and Acuña.
Ozzie not even being mentioned is criminal. Both he and Nico should easily be over the rookies.
Also Kyle Tucker over Soto?

Albies not being on there makes it all a complete joke and I'm not even sure I want to pay attention when they do all the other positions. How do you omit a 2b that hit 33 homers first among all 2b 109 rbi's first among all 2b .280 avg 4th among all 2b .849 ops 2nd among all 2b

Forgot for a second that the Dodgers also acquired Teoscar with the 90 other moves they made lol

Nico has had 2 monstah seasons in a row now, including a 4.7 war gem last season. The number that stands out to me from Nico's stats is his base running runs above average - coming in at a whopping 9.7 - the 2nd highest number in MLB last year.
For whatever it matters, glad to see Nico make the top 10 2b list, but I think he deserves better than the 10 spot. Put him around 5-6 spot by my own calculations yesterday.
He's a fearless, scrappy, ball playin dude.
edit: with some more stat reading, look at this- LOWEST babip in all of baseball for 2023 includes #1 Pete Alonso (.205), #2 Schwarbs (.209), #3 Max Muncy (.221) Three solid batters end up with lowest babip. Whadda ya know. WRC+ all in the 120 range for those guys and WAR all under 3.

Nico robbed Happ robbed These lists leave me bemused, befuddled, bewildered, befogged, bedeviled, bewitched and beguiled.

Having watched a couple of these I get the impression there's a certain amount of projecting and trending valuations to these, so maybe not so much "Right Now" like they say. Nootbar having only played 110 games or so per year and going into his 3rd full season has more of an upward direction and higher ceiling perhaps than Happ. Or at least that's all I can make out of it. Happ is a pretty known commodity and likely won't improve much going forward, and as much as we love him here his production in LF tends to get a bit overlooked.

Nootbar is more popular than Happer since the WBC
It would've been nice to break down why each player was given the position, but all this is is something to read for S&G during the offseason.
Sidenote: Netwrok sounds like a creature you don't wanna mess with.
