Anyone else surprised to see Shaw is still playing as much 2B as he is? Just checking recent box scores and it looks like he is almost exclusively over there.

Anyone else surprised to see Shaw is still playing as much 2B as he is? Just checking recent box scores and it looks like he is almost exclusively over there. he's played 3b 37 games 2b 18 SS 5 DH 5 He played 6 games in a row at 2B (DH last night - ended streak). He hasn't played 2 games in a row at 3B, for 15 games. And only once, in the last 23 games (which includes another 5 game streak at 2B). Shaw First 42 Last 233B - 32 games 5 games 2B - 5 games 13 games SS - 2 games 3 games DH - 3 games 2 games Triantos First 52 Last 102B - 40 games 2 games DH - 12 games 1 game CF - 0 games 7 games |

I know Ballesteros was at 1b today and made 2 errors My man Frankie Scalzo jr's 2024 scoreless streak came to an end 1/3 of an inning 1 hit that was questionable as a hit , 4 runs only 1 earned and 2 walks , had no help from his friends , Jack Reinheimer who I'm baffled is on the team and playing botched a pop up for a double and Ballesteros made an error on a bunt. |

Ballesteros said he was told the plan for him at Iowa is to catch about 4 games a week while also getting some DH and 1B time so it looks like they are not scrapping him as a catcher yet.
And so far at Iowa he has caught 4 of the 6 games he's played and thrown out 1 of 4 base stealers
