I know Batman doesn't like him.
The numbers are the numbers, though Harper did miss time coming back from TJ in May, 126 games played, and war is accumulative. No one is going to confuse a 99 OPS+ with a 146 OPS+ when offense, especially in the middle of the order, is lacking for the Cubs. That's why IMO Belly now seems like an important get with Soto and Ohtani gone.

One season... ONE! Dude never hit 40 in his career and he plays 161 games a year. Nope, no GM is taking Olson over Harper just on pure talent alone. Geez, 2 time MVP, postseason beast. All those HRs by Olson only to hit 0 Hrs and slash .250/.294/.544 versus Harper in the postseason. Good one..... haters gonna hate. He played most of his career in a total shit stadium for hitters last 3 seasons 39, 34 and 54 , by the way Harper has hit more than 35 homer ONCE in 12 seasons and that was 8 long years ago , so there is that.

He played in 162 games in Atlanta in 2022 and hit 34 HR and posted a.802 OPS. Nice try. I'll take Harper, he's a much better all around player.

Let's talk last 5 years when Olson started his career (Harper is a year older).
Olson: 829 games, 206 Hr, 169 doubles, 4 triples, 8 stolen bases, .257/.352/.871 and 134 wRC+ Harper: 740 games, 156 Hr, 178 doubles, 7 triples, 71 stolen bases, .277/.395/.922 and 142 wRC+ (this is in 89 less games due to Tommy John surgery)
Olson HR: 29, 36, 14, 39, 34, 54 (this 54 is an outlier and you know it) Harper HR: 34, 35, 13, 35, 18, 21 (18 in 99 games and 21 in 126 games)
EDIT: Olson has also been in 5 of the last 6 postseasons so it's not like he doesn't get there. I'm not even going to make that comparison LOL

Interesting but RBI totals are missing in your line , wonder why , and no , it's not all a team stat and Bryce has been on better teams with better line ups if you want to try to say it is. We'll see what they both do in 2024 with Bryce at first full time . I got Olson, you got Harper

I don't know about you all, but I would take either one and be very happy about that.

I don't know about you all, but I would take either one and be very happy about that. Yep , either one would solve a lot of problems right now, 1b and the power bat they so very much need. But Bryce is looking like an idiot now saying he's open to an extension. Sorry man, you should not have signed a 13 year deal with no opt outs just to stroke your ego as a status symbol in the game. <<As a quick reminder, in March, 2019, Harper signed the largest contract in MLB history – $330 million over 13 years. At the time, this writer wrote that the number of years was irrelevant, as Harper (and Boras) simply wanted the largest total amount. Giancarlo Stanton had previously signed for 13/$325 million, so Harper’s deal had to outpace that.>> I can respect him over the no opt outs and him saying he didn't want any so he can prove his loyalty to Philly , well now's your chance to prove it Bryce, honor that 13 year deal!! That's more proof than asking for a new contract when you still have EIGHT more years to go on it , and why would he think the Phillies want to sign him beyond age 39 ?
