It's only an Amen if he gets some starts.
I get and understand why Canario is not , what Ross explained made sense and PCA is similar to Canario with some initial struggles after promotions so I can't get too excited until I see he's actually playing. I know he will no doubt get in games as a defensive replacement, but I'd like to see him getting some starts.

yesss!!!!! a 40 man roster move will have to be made It won't be Wisdom , he's seems safe again with Candelario hurt so there is ALMOST a use for him on the roster now.

Perfect series to bring him up for. Hopefully they allow him to play more than Canario did.

yesss!!!!! a 40 man roster move will have to be made My Guess: PCA called up Canario optioned My bold predictions: Boxberger DFA Fulmer activated I don't see FO wanting to burn an option on Little or Palencia and save them for future seasons and since Boxberger is barely toping 90mph (usually throws 93-94) and don't feel that comfortable using him since being activated he likely gets the DFA since he will be a free agent after this season.

I think you nailed it. The other option is Jared Young. BTW PCA is not being called up till Tuesday.

I understand your concern but with Jeimer hurt & Tauchman struggling his past 100 AB's I just don't see how they don't start PCA in CF & Belli at first. I just hope it isn't Jeimer that goes on the IL because we really need him.

I thought about Young, but the guy is crushing AAA and if they DFA him he can elect free agency and Cubs might want some insurance just in case they cannot sign Bellinger back this offseason which is why I lean towards Boxberger DFA.

I would say Boxberger or Kay are the best options to be DFA'd to create a 40 man spot. Young and Wisdom might be other options. A completely out of left field option is Stroman to the 60 day, but that makes him eligible to come off of the DL on September 30. Boxberger makes the most sense since it will create both a 40 man and a 25 man spot.
Edit: If PCA isn't being called up until Tuesday, then if Boxberger comes in and pitches 5 innings tonight, then that's a sign that he's the sacrificial beast and will be DFA'd to make room for PCA.

I'll predict Canario sent down with Young DFA to make room for PCA, believe it has to be hitter for hitter or in Canario's case hitter for bench warmer.
A few days later, Stroman activated with Boxberger DFA or Little sent down.

Fun fact about PCA
His Mom is Ashley Crow who played the mom in the movie Little Big league
She now has a movie son who was the manager for the Twins in 1994 and real life son who plays CF for the Chicago Cubs.
Well done!

Well done! PCA's father is Matthew John Armstrong from suburban Naperville, IL. Like his wife, he's a TV actor. Ashley is 13 years older than Matthew, therefore likely the family matriarch. So, it may not be surprising that PCA has chosen both his parents last names for his professional name.

Her co-star in Little Big League of which the movie storyline had them romantically connected was a red headed lefty with a good swing. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin..

I actually checked to see if Timothy Busfield was his dad at first but yeah 8 years later. lol Pete's dad is Mathew Armstrong who is also an actor who played small roles in TV shows throughout the years, looking at photos of him, he is for sure Pete's dad.

All the talk on my Babe Ruth League team in June 1960 was the possibility of 20-yr-old Ron Santo being called up. He was, and the rest is history.
