Domingo Germán of Yankees pitches a perfect game Good for him. I saw he has had issues both on and off the field so on a personal level, good that he had a bright spot. Rizzo had a nice defensive play in the 5th. Not to detract from German's game but it was against the lowly A's. They need to move to Vegas like yesterday just to get a fresh start. I think we should give Rizzo all the credit. I am down with that. lol

De La cruz steals 2nd , 3rd and home in same inning.
After stealing 3rd the pitcher wasn't paying attention walking back to the mound after getting the ball back and he took off .

Not really supposed to step out until time is granted though so he's in the wrong , but most umps would probably have granted time out. Umps need the all star break , is it just me or have they been especially shitty this past week ?

The way they've been calling balls and strikes, they might as well not have a home plate. Losing track of balls and strikes. The Umps have been a joke. Managers seem to be getting ejected at a record pace. The ball and strike calling is as bad as I can remember, and needs attention ASAP.

And then the worst part about it, Manfred already said that the automatic system won’t be ready for next season. Lulz

One of the consequences of the balanced schedule is evident in the AL East. The Red Sox and Yankees are tied for last place in the division at 50-44. Additionally, the AL Central may very well have a .500 or below team win the division. Unless they take out the automatic playoff birth for division winners (which I hope they never do) division teams need to beat up on each other to give a clear winner and clear loser. This doesn't happen with a balanced schedule. I believe baseball will regret implementing the balanced schedule. A lot of fans complain when a winning team misses the playoffs in favor of a bad team who happens to win their division. Get used to it because it will probably happen more often. Bring back unbalanced scheduling.

Bring back unbalanced scheduling. That will be a joke if it happens. There should be , (never will happen though ) a stipulation where if a division does not have a .500+ record team that no team goes to the playoffs from that division and that spot goes to the highest win pct team that did not win a WC spot.

The scoreboard operator at Coors Field must have been dumped by his girlfriend. I think this guy might need some counseling to get over Becky. Messages posted on the mega-board last night:
“Using a stethoscope to listen to the heart, cardiologists can detect narrow valves, valve leakage, and/or abnormal rhythm. Don’t bother asking him to check YOUR heart though, Becky. That crushed Titanic sub has more life inside it than that collapsed troll cave you call a chest cavity.”
And another:
“Most Coloradans experience ‘sweater weather’ up to 6 months of the year, starting in early September. Except my ex-girlfriend, who probably needs a cardigan year-round because of her ice cube of a heart. Seriously, Becky… your insides are so frozen, at this point you should just change your name to Elsa.”

Kind of weird that people want to share intimate details of their lives with strangers, but its a weird world.

These Tigers are such a difficult watch, infield of Zach Short, McKinstry and Baez.
