Pirates released a statement stating they're in active discussions with Toronto and MLB over playing games in Pittsburgh. That's the quickest move the Pirates org has made this offseason, free money will do that for you.

Its official:The Toronto #BlueJays will play the majority of their home games at PNC park in Pittsburgh, as @thehazelmae reported. The exceptions are that they will play one series against the #Yankees and another against the #Nats as the home team at Yankee Stadium and Nats Park

NOT SO FAST!!
Blue Jays are looking at alternatives now as they have not received approval from Pennsylvania to use Pittsburgh's park. Unbelievable as the season begins in 2 days.

Pittsburgh loses out & Blue Jays are hosed. FYI, Indiana governor just said that starting Monday, July 27th. masks will be required for everyone over the age of 8.

HARRISBURG _ The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced today that it will not allow the Toronto Blue Jays to play their shortened 2020 season at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. I'm pretty surprised by this. They'll allow the Pirates and their opponents to play there, but not the Blue Jays and their opponents, that would be too much. I get that adding 100 or so athletes into PA can be something of a risk, but they're not restricting travel into and out of PA to the general public, which is likely far greater than the number of ballplayers that would be traveling. I could see if they were on some sort of travel lockdown (I think they have a recommended quarantine in place if one had been to a highly infected state) but there's nothing of the sort right now.

They will end up in Buffalo.
They wanted a major league facilty but they are going to have to settle. The lighting wont take long to upgrade to standards. I just think they were looking for the facilities/ clubhouse to be major league caliber and were using the lighting as an excuse.

Now they are talking about sharing Camden yards with the O's but may face similar problems getting town/state approvals like they did in Pennslyvania.

Hopefully the Jays can stay there, I can see New York rejecting this.

Their first home games are Wednesday and Thursday against the Washington Nationals and those are expected to stay at Nationals Park, where the Jays are playing road games on Monday and Tuesday. So 28 games in Buffalo.
