Jerm here. Grew up outside of Chicago, went to Purdue(Boiler Up!) and then never left Lafayette with my beautiful wife and 1 year old son who already has a closet full of Cub gear. Cant wait for this season to get going!

David here, 36 year old life long Cubs fan. Grew up in Champaign Illinois and now live in Oklahoma City. Married for 8 years with 3 daughters. I followed the Cubs MB but rarely posted due to that fact that it was terrible. Looking forward to another good season. Go Cubs!

I've never been to OKC, spent some time in Tulsa, and Bartlesville, OK quite often over the last few years, though.

Please report anything you find questionable and the 3 mods will review. The Mods want to treat everything fairly, so we will discuss questionable issues and come to a consensus. Okay. I assume it's Pieviltwin. He's been okay on Cubs board. I'm good with letting him be. But his BS call outs need to be focused on the real trolls.

So this is where you jack@$$es all went to hide? Just for the record, I'm pissed off at each and every one of you. I had 3 threads I was planning on bumping at the appropriate time on the other board. Well, you managed to squirm your way out of that. In the way of a formal introduction my real name is, none of your damn business. My location, none of your damn business. As for my wife and kids, don't even think to ask. Reason for being here, I got challenged and I love a challenge. I'm here to prove that I'm adept enough to skirt around any silly rules thrown my way without being banned. Now that we got that out of the way, rest assured, you'll be getting the same sage, knowledgeable baseball talk from me as always, when I find the time, seeing as my interests are now divided. Great to have you here. It will be fun to post Cubs baseball with you. Try to keep up.

I have been a life long Cubs fan...born and raised in Chicago suburbs, and transplanted to Nashville now. I follow the team's every move, every win, every loss, and have lived it on my sleeve as my father, grandfather, and his father once did. I am in my 40's now and would love nothing more than to live out the dream of a Cub's Championship that none of them ever had the chance to see. I was a non-active member on the other board...although I read it every day and only posted about 200 times. I had a hard time participating in the shouting match and BS that every post would seem to become. I look forward to the new "SANCTUARY" for the actual true Cubs fan to be able to voice their opinion...and have a discussion that could not happen on the "other" board that I have read for nearly a decade. Thank you for making this...and let's make it work.

Within the last year or so, I've started imagining what my reaction will be if/when they win it all. And honestly, I don't know how I'll react, but I do know that even thinking of them winning it and Ronnie, Ernie, and every Cubs' fan who has passed not seeing a World Series win breaks my heart.

I know exactly what you mean...I remember my grandfather yelling at the radio while growing up...just listening to Cubs games in frustration. He actually liked radio better than TV because that was how he grew up with the Cubs experience. I would go to about ten games a year with him as a small kid...every time, it was such an indescribable experience when you would walk in and see the field. Almost a religious experience. You don't know, if you haven't actually lived it through generations. I know we are on the verge of winning...and becoming a winner, and it saddens me for all the generations of family, and all the forgone players from past teams, that cannot be here to finally enjoy, what I believe we are about to finally do. Every win the Cubs have, I feel is a win for that man (my grandfather) that lived and died by this team and cannot be here for what he missed out on in his 80 years of life.

Well, you are off to a good start because it looks like you have gathered the actual "legit" posters from the other board... I don't see this being a problem...it can only grow from here. Good job.
