This is not a good look for Reinsdorf. What looked promising just a couple years ago has turned to ashes. Was Grifol another hand picked manager and will Reinsdorf make him the scapegoat? Grifol for sure will be fired and I can see them doing it now as a reaction to this news coming out. They will use him as the scapegoat while Kenny Williams and Haun jobs are safe since Reinsdorf is a terrible owner.

Holly molly.... July 9th, day before AS game, Grandal was not in the lineup and said fuck this, I'm leaving now and did not want to stay for the game. Tim Anderson was upset and said he'll pay for his plane ticket. Grandal walked up to TA and slapped him in the face. WOW!!!!

Damn, what a mess. Sadly veterans should be capable of policing this, but it sounds like they're the source of the problem.
I can't decide if it's unfortunate or helpful that all the focus is on the Sox implosion and taking some of the spotlight away from the Cubs streak. Cubs are kinda flying under the radar right now despite being so hot.

Orioles suspended their play by player announcer for this clip.

For what? I didn't see anything worthy of suspension in that clip. Was he too critical of past performance? Too bad, he wasn't lying.

There is nothing he said wrong, everybody is trying to figure it out and only thing is the ownership got butthurt for Brown stating facts. Orioles ownership is getting a ton of shit for this right now.

That is ridiculous that this would be allowed to go on.

Tim Anderson was upset and said he'll pay for his plane ticket. Grandal walked up to TA and slapped him in the face. WOW!!!! They are trying to deny it happened. Hahn emphasized that no reliever had been dozing in the bullpen, while adding the White Sox have a position player with a serious sleep disorder who is permitted to take naps in the clubhouse per medical direction. "I was surprised to see the report this morning," Hahn said. "At no point during the course of the year had there been a reliever sleeping in the bullpen during that game. That's just wrong." ... "Quite frankly, it's a little bit ironic that Keynan's the one saying this, because my last conversation with him face-to-face was a week ago in the clubhouse where he sought me out to apologize for his unprofessional behavior Pedro had called him out on," Hahn said. "At the time I figured that was a one-off." Sound like what Middleton said possibly stemmed from him being disciplined and not others and he was pissed about that. But when you have another player like Lance Lynn say everything Middleton said was true , I tend to believe the players.

Orioles suspended their play by player announcer for this clip. That's ridiculous , it's not like he talked about it all on his own , and if he did , so what it's factual they have had an extemeley hard time there and now they have a chance to righ that. When you have a graphic showing on screen I'd say the guy producing the telecast is the one who's idea was to talk about it, so why the hell would they single out the play by play guy ?

Middleton admitted after the Hahn interview that he did get in trouble for something he did, but he stands by what he said previously, and as you mentioned, Lynn backed him up. I mean, look at Jake Burger's comments playing his first game with the Marlins.

I mean, look at Jake Burger's comments playing his first game with the Marlins. That's what I'm saying , Middleton was probably running his mouth because he was upset he got into trouble when others usually don't . So for Hahn to say it's all bullshit that players do get into trouble because Middleton did , doesn't exactly back up that this is all bullshit especially when he goes on to say nothing was done because he (Hahn) figured it was a one off incident. Abreu also made comments earlier this season about how he feels the team did not feel like a family .

I found it a bit ironic that Hahn stated that he thought things in the clubhouse should remain in the clubhouse, then he himself went and aired something from the clubhouse. Really bad look IMO.

He's never been one to handle interviews well , he's usually on the defense and vague and sarcastic with answers so not really surprising since everybody seems to be piling on about the lack of culture with the team. I'm not sure he's the one to blame for the downward spiral though , they were doing fine until Reinsdorf wanted LaRussa hired so this is all on him. I don't think there was one person in the world who thought that was a good fit other than Reinsdorf , hell even LaRussa probably knew he was no longer cut out to manage todays players.

I think Hahn has his own ideals and thoughts as to how the team runs, but I just don't think he's that guy. I don't see him as a leader, and it's pretty well understood that Kenny Williams really runs the show. And beyond that both were undercut by the LaRussa hiring. His role within the team was pretty well stated when that happened; frankly he should have quit when that went down. Jerry is the owner and runs the team, Kenny and Hahn handle the day to day and roster and are just there for Reinsdorf to not have to deal with the media.

WTF? Baltimore is in 1st place in August and their home park isn't sold out? They were in the depths for quite a while and the turnaround has been really sudden. I think some fan base fell off a little and hasn't yet come back. That and I believe the owners are widely disliked in town.
