Spent a beautiful day at Cooperstown this past Sunday. The HOF was a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is even a casual fan and has the chance to go. Of course the plaques are a highlight but I was impressed with the entire facility. As someone who loved Ken Burns' PBS documentary on baseball, and also watched The Great Courses lectures on the hall, the early stuff was very interesting as well. The charm of the town is evident, from the old houses and shops to the beautiful lake. I wish I would have planned for more time walking around town and browsing the shops. FYI I stopped in Canton on my way there and loved that too. Although we drove through Cleveland, I was not able to hit the Rock and Roll HOF. Maybe on my next HOF tour.
