I really didn't want to start it (or do I?), but here goes. 1) Those of you dummies who "couldn't wait" till Cardinal fans turned on Arenado are going to have to wait another day. The sure-fire Hall of Famer who you said wouldn't hit in our Division or on the road, played his first Home Opener yesterday. After receiving a standing ovation in his first AB, he broke a 1-1 tie in the 8th with a dramatic 2 Run Homer and won the game for the Cards, who are now 5-2. Arenado, the 8 consecutive GG (Third 3B to ever do it - Schmidt, Robinson), RBI machine, is now slashing .345 / .367 / .586 / .953 and has 5 RBI in his their first 7 games. Oh and, he's fielding 1.000 too Arenado Brings Cards to Magical PlaceBoy, you were all over that one. A Curtain Call

And in the game that they're talking about on the East Coast...

A Curtain Call I had no doubt Arendo will still be an all-star/HOF player outside of Coors, the guy can just hit and now he does not have to deal with adjusting from Coors to a non-Coors park anymore so does not have to deal with major adjustment dealing with breaking ball like he used to. What is annoying the most is how horrible the Rockies are ran, they pretty much gifted Arenado to the Cardinals and give them $50 million to get rid of a HOF player in the middle of their prime.

Because they overpaid to the tune of 7 to 8 mil per year with his contract. Also, we might want to hold off on the statue outside of the stadium for a slightly larger sample size.. He’s no doubt one of the better 3rd basemen in baseball but I still think that he might be the 5th or 6th best but he does make the most $$.

They're paying an average of $24 Million for the next 6 years. Plus $20M deferred for an unspecified time period, after the final year. You don't think a guy who averaged 15+ HR and 50+ RBI on the Road the last 5 years prior to Covid (Bryant's best years - and he's not close to that) and has won the GG in every year of his career, deserves $4M more than Bryant? In the prime of his Hall of Fame career? In this day and age? $10M a year less than Lindor? They're paying $0 this year and only taking a $17.5M hit on the salary cap for the next 2 years while dropping $70M from his total due. As the years progress, they'll pay less and less. First Goldschmidt. Now this. We're paying for Heyward. Don't you see how much smarter they are than us? You don't pay for Names. You pay for production. You pay for runs. Don't you think it would have been nice to score some runs in the playoffs, these last couple of years? We only needed 1.

I was calling him overpaid with the Rockies contract. St. Louis got a serious discount with the Rockies kicking in a ton. Let’s see what his WAR is at the end of these next 2 years with the Cards & we’ll know.

Why do Cub fans always have to drag Kris Bryant through the mud when discussing other players?
Since 2015:
wRC+ Bryant 137 Nolan 125
fWAR Bryant 28.7 Nolan 28.3
Let's remove 2015 and 2016 since that seems to anger Cub fans for some reason when discussing Bryant:
Since 2017:
wRC+ Bryant 133 Nolan 126
fWAR Bryant 14.8 Nolan 18.8
Both are having very good 2021 seasons so far. Bryant has had the better career up to this point though IMO.

Whoever loses sends $100 to St. Jude Children's hospital?

After seeing the first angle, I thought well maybe they didn't see enough to overturn it. But the other angles, how can they get it so wrong?

I don't know how many umps in New York look at replay challenges, but you telling me that they all agree at some point he touched home plate? when? He never touched it at all. how do they not see that? unless they all are Mr. Magoo. if so, then they don't need be reviewing replay challenges.

The only possible explanation I can come up with is that the communication from New York got hacked.
