Yeah, winning the Central is going to be very important this year considering I don't think the NL Central has 3 representatives this year. The Nats should be better, the Giants should be better, the DBacks and Marlins should be better...it's going to be a tougher race this year.

<<5. No stalk posting. If I see posters stalking and attacking certain posters they will be banned.>> Kindly take note of the above MB rule. I'm sure the mods will be looking to enforce. I'll simply say goodbye for now, and request you do not post to or talk about me in the future. I will treat you in the same manner. Goodbye and good luck. Would you consider calling someone wingnut as an attack? Like I said...the bickering is not welcome here...from either of you. <<Would you consider calling someone wingnut as an attack?>> You can't be serious. That was not an attack, and the use of same was a commonly accepted moniker for that poster, used by many, many posters for many, many years. If you followed my banter, I was courteous and even made well wishes. I have no desire at all to have lengthy back and forths with that poster, and even encouraged him to avoid posting me. Anyway, I'm glad corndog developed this MB, and look forward to some good Cubs Baseball discussion, of which I have already contributed in this very thread.

Wonder if they will be / are selling these. I'd pick one up... You can buy all the shirt's that Maddon has come up with. He partnered with a company to have them made and sold with the profits going to charity. Buy them here: www.korkedbaseball.com/collections/maddonism

A little pricey at 29 bucks, but if profits go to charity, that works for me.

Sounds like they're a bit salty over the fact that someone else is getting attention. Yeah, the Cubs are hyped, but it isn't without reason...I mean...they did pound the Cards in the NLDS and make it all the way to the NLCS last year despite having a team full of inexperienced guys on the roster... I think they are just saying the type of things their fans and media would expect them to say.

Yeah, that's true, too. But the fact that they're saying it shows that it's a concern.

Gentlemen. Leave the bickering on Cubs.com. I get some frustrations are going to pile over, but let's not do that here. This site offers private direct messages. If you want to bicker, utilize that option. Not that I'll be bickering by private message... but I really like that this forum has that ability. We need to organize a Denver meet up for dinner sometime.

Yeah, 100% of it goes to Maddon's Respect 90 Charity.

I'd like to note that hardslide came here looking for Windangit. Everything that transpired after that is exactly what he came here for. This needs to stop. Consider this your one warning. And no, this is not up for discussion.

I just can't believe all the attention coming the Cubs way has the Cards or any other team salty about anything. As I posted earlier, Cubs still need to prove themselves in actual baseball playing, rather than on paper or any hype coming their way from media or pundits.

If MLB players or executives are getting ''salty' about the Cubs getting the publicity, they need to grow up. I'm not buying that either, and I'm of the opinion, that despite the immense talent and promise of he Northsiders, Cards are the team to beat in the Central. Yes, the NLCS went our way, but a division crown to me still signifies the true changing of the guard. And I can see the Redbirds getting feisty with their king of the mountain status being challenged.

Proving themselves...like...by beating the Cardinals in the NLCS? The hype is there for a reason. I don't disagree about that. Still a long way to go for my beloved Cub, IMHO. I think NL will be very competitive this season. And I just don't see other teams overly concerned about the Cubs presence, until at least, it's proven out. Of course, I like the Cubs being favored as such, but would have preferred to be under the radar, but I'm really looking forward to this new season. The recent past really had little hope attached to it. Can't wait for the season to start. Edit......And I absolutely think JM is the right manager to be guiding this ship with the very high expectations and a young team.

You're right, some things never change. You bash me and then pretend to take the high road. i will be honest. i'd prefer you and your act wasn't here. I think your character is inane and pointless. There is nothing for you here as most here aren't your puppets. if you bring them here, you and they will be banned. Good luck. <<5. No stalk posting. I will continue to post where and when i see fit. You do whatever you want. You were that attacked me and started asking people who i was, so you should be the one that should be aware of that rule.
