Cubs predictions: I got them at 37-23 and winning the division. I got Willy as a real MVP candidate. I got Hendricks as a CY candidate. My surprise, Javy Baez is in the top 5 in NL steals (Ross lets him be aggressive).
Non-Cub predictions: Padres make a run Chris Paddack wins NL CY Jose Berrios wins AL CY Joey Gallo wins AL MVP (over Trout)
What you got?

37-23 sounds about right. I’m not convinced about Cincinnati......every year they are supposed to be improved, and every year they stay mediocre. Plus I can’t stand Votto.

IT sucks all 4 got hurt at the worst possible time, now they are fully healthy and add Happ and Schwarber 2nd half's to the mix, you got yourself a very deadly lineup and if the starting pitching and bullpen is at least league average and defense turns it around, the Cubs should be able to take the division unless another teams just plays out of this world baseball.

I hate to say it and it scares me to say it. But I think the entire season hinges on Kimbrel. I love the guy , loved the signing at thr time I thought it was one of my favorite in team history. But he has to be able to close out games or the entire bullpen could go to shit quickly if he cant and they have to look to somebody else.
Offense should be no problem.
Rotation I am a little worried about if Lester struggles. But I think Hebdricks and Yu stack up against other teams top 2 well.
Bullpen has a lot of wild cards that could go either way, but they need Kimbrel to be reliable.

31-29 weak starting pitching, random BP. My main fear though is the possibility of injuries caused by the short time to prepare for the season.
Also, it's too bad that the pandemic couldn't have started earlier, like about two months before the 2003 postseason.

I voted 35-40, I think I thought 36 wins before seeing the poll parameters.

Cubs currently on pace for 48 wins Just before today's game I was almost tempted to respond to people applauding the SP ERA. But then I thought doing so might jinx the Cubs. I guess it didn't matter. The SP will not continue to be lights out any more than KB will have an OPS in the six hundreds.
