Burl Carraway sounds like a guy who can see MLB action fairly quickly, maybe by next season. Burl Carraway sounds like a folk singer from the 50's

Al Lieter loves the pick. Reminds him of Mark Langston and Billy Wagner. ODowd said he has the same arm speed as Hader. Sits at 96 , hits 98 often and has hit 99. And has a wicked mid 70's curveball . Only negative, command has been spotty at times.

Great 1st round pick. I hope that he joins the list of previous MLB superstar Howards.

He has one of the ugliest swings I've ever seen and that throwing motion...He kinda reminds me of Glenallen Hill

Doesnt look pretty. But he got to where he is with it. If they can refine that and make it a lot more fluid with his load he could be a beast. This one has beast or bust written all over it.

- 2019 swing - 2020 swing He raised his hands in 2020 but still pushes his bat. Very raw, very long road ahead of him. Baseball instincts are tough to teach

I am really digging the Cubs approach at this draft, taking some big risk and swinging towards the fences. I like it!
The Cubs player development does a really good job with developing high risk with high reward type players and glad that is their approach here. Seems like the FO got their confidence back.

I love this draft for the Cubs , too bad it is only 5 rounds this year.
Little is not so Little 6'8" and has hit 105 mph... oh my! Love the risks they have taken with the last two picks. Im sticking with the beast or bust moniker with the last two. Raw, but with the right tweaking enormous potential.

Nwogu looks like the Cubs are anticipating the DH to the NL in a few years.

Cubs Second Round Pick: Lefty College Reliever, Burl Carraway. best college reliever in the draft. From watching his video, he has one important thing in common with Josh Hader. As a lefty the ball comes from behind and is hidden until almost at the release point. That plus the 95-96 makes the reaction time very short for a hitter.

Nwogu looks like the Cubs are anticipating the DH to the NL in a few years. Why? He apparently is a good enough defender to play CF but projects as a LF because he doesn't have a strong throwing arm.
