For the purpose of this thread I am considering May 2 thru June 2 as May. This will be a more difficult schedule than April.
May 2-4 at Pitt May 5-8 Washingtom May 9-11 Padres May 12 OFF May 13-15 Pitt May 16 OFF May 17-19 at Brewers May 20-22 at SF 22nd is a Sunday night game on a travel date. May 23-25 at Stl May 26 OFF May 27-29 Phils May 30-31 June 1-2 LA
29 games 12 Road 17 Home 20 games against "good teams"

Maybe 16/17 but that's pushing it with that schedule. Could be a .500 month

I'm going out on a limb here but I say 22-7. I know there are tougher teams on this schedule but the Cubs have seemed to do better against the tougher teams.

29-0.
Seriously, I see a 16-17 win month. Starting pitching regresses a bit.

The Cubs are 12-6 with 1 rainout as of today. You would think they are 6-12, the way some people are acting about the "mini losing streak."

Counting today as a win, 17-8 for a .680 percentage. Exceeding my expectations. Amazing how some people get so negative after a couple losses.

It was a brutal month schedule wise. I predicted 16-17 wins above. They are at 17 wins with four games left in the is 'month' (since we are counting the June Dodgers games). They should beat my prediction and have a legitimate chance to end this brutal stretch of games 20-9. That's amazing considering who they have played the last four weeks. Who would have thought the Brewers and the Padres would have been the toughest test? I truly think they don't go 100% versus teams they should womp. Let's hope that changes.
